  Most exquisite, elegant resaurant within 25 to 30 miles ! ! It's really up to the locals to make it what they want. I have had wonderful breakfast, lunch and dinner here in a basiclly empty restaurant. If you will all come, you can make the service, quality and prices what you desire for this area. Me ? ? ? I am going back to Texas . . . . but if I lived out here I'd be knocking on doors and getting friends and neighbors to polish this hidden jewel in the desert where I could catch a good family or personal meal in a high class establishment and get to gaze out at REAL GREEN GRASS ! !

  The food is ok and decent you would hardly know this place was here. I lived in Vail for 20 years and I've eaten there only a handful of times. The last time we went the service was awesome the waitress we had was very attentive and overall it was a great experience. The food doesn't blow your mind but it is decent and the price is ok.

  We have only gone into this restaurant a handful of times and have lived in Rancho del Lago for 8 years. This is our first time writing a review for the place, but after tonight felt like we had to.
  
  My husband and I have both worked in the service industry for years. My husband currently is a manager and bartender for a local restaurant. I am a supervisor for customer service for a large company. Needless to say, treating people with respect is a common courtesy, at this restaurant you would be lucky to get a simple hello! We understand finding good help is not easy, but at Hacienda del Lago it is desolate!
  
  We waited at the hostess stand for about 4 minutes, not as bad as it could be. The hostess finished cleaning a table instead of greeting new guests. Choosing to clean a table for phantom guests that didn't exist instead of stopping, smiling, thanking us for coming in, and seating us at one of the many already clean tables. There were a total of 2 other tables in the restaurant where people were dining and 3 people sitting at the bar. The hostess then came and sat us, they were out of kids menus, so the hostess dropped off 2 kids menus after copying them later on. She said, "your server will be right with you." That was a lie.......
  
  There were 2 bussers, they passed by us 3x, though not our server, they never made eye contact or said hello. At this point we had been sitting 5 minutes. Another server for one of the other tables passed by 2x, never saying hello either. Even if she wasn't supposed to be our server, a simple "welcome, let me grab your server for you." Or if she was our server, "I will be with you in a minute" would have been better than what disservice we received.
  
  We waited another 5 minutes, picked up our 2 kids, and walked out. My husband stayed to talk to the manager about his experience. The manager said the service is something they are working on. Now, my husband and I have both been managers of restaurants, and if you have a customer service issue AND you are AWARE of the issue, you should be on the floor observing to make sure TERRIBLE customer service doesn't happen on your watch.
  
  We ended up going to Montgomery's Pub instead, where I am about to write a 5 star review on their service. Maybe a simple field trip for the staff at Hacienda is necessary at Montgomery's...... just watch and learn. Write it off as paid training or team bonding, but DO something to pull your heads out of your rears.

  Came here early for an event so we decided to get some drinks before hand. Drinks took 15 minutes to arrive and I ordered a bottled beer.
